On ‘Day One,’ What or Who Are You
Going to Do / Be in the ‘Next Normal?’
As we re-emerge from 18+ months of ‘things out of our control,’ how many times have you been asked: ‘What are you keeping or letting go of your ‘pre-pandemic life?’ To which you might have said/thought: ‘…one day I’m going to do/bring/explore/eliminate ___X___ into (or out of) my business and life.’ Well, “IT” is not completely over, but I think many of us realize that we are different people than we were a year ago and
we’re ready to reinvent, recalibrate and rebuild our business and personal lives.
‘Day One’ is the program to support you in those efforts.
‘Day One’ is about forging a renewed personal trust in yourself through a vision that you bring to the world personally and in the work you do while incorporating what 2020 and living a pandemic lifestyle taught you. In a way it’s honoring your resilience as strong, independent, smart, honest, successful, fun business owners / leaders, moms, wives, friends, partners.
This concept of ‘Day One,’ introduced in a November 2020 Maria Shriver Sunday Paper (https://mariashriver.com/the-sundaypaper/), got me thinking about how I could create a community and / or develop relationships with the entrepreneurially-spirited women who are ‘always thinking and acting’ on how to consistently bring their best selves to their professional and personal lives…we’ve been ‘pivoting’ long before ‘pivoting’ became one of THE words of 2020.
‘Day One’ is about reflecting upon what we thought was true pre-2020 and taking what we learned, experienced, observed in all phases of our lives and the lives of others in 2020 (and into 2021) and creating and implementing a plan / vision to move forward into the ‘ever-evolving’ / ‘new norm’ or ‘Next Normal’ of 2021 and beyond.
‘Day One’ activities will offer brainstorming; masterminding; vision boarding; setting and establishing accountability towards following through on intentions vs goal setting; learning; creating; revising; dreaming; implementing a ‘plan, do, check, act’ process; rebuilding trust in yourself and possibly trust in others and more. The ‘Day One’ program offers choices for you to determine how you wish to move forward: individually in a 1:1 coaching relationship or group sessions: small (2-3) or large (max 6) facilitated by me. If choosing to work in a group, you can either create a group (mother-daughter, family, business associates / partners, networking or community-oriented groups, etc.) or allow for a randomized creation of a group.
Spoiler Alert . . . there are more twists and turns ahead in 2021, but we’re better prepared to manage them thanks to lessons of 2020.
The ‘Day One’ program will provide accountability to keep you in alignment with your vision and desired outcomes.
As a coach and healer, I know the process of healing and rebuilding isn’t about pushing ourselves, it’s about reconnecting with oneself in a kind and loving way. Each of us is on a personal journey, but knowing you’re not alone is powerful and comforting. 2020 was a strong catalyst for change and 2021 continues as a catalyst to evolve with the times and move into the future wiser than ever with stronger resilience, confidence, vulnerability and attitude to accept risk and new ideas from people who might be and think differently than you do, be open and curious to a sense of adventure, desire freedom to do what you need to do to create and implement your vision towards creating your best life.
‘On your ‘Day One,’ what are you going to do / be’
‘Day One’ Programs:
- Suggested commitment to the program of your choice is 3 months. ‘Day One’ programs are considered business or personal ‘intensive’ programs. If 1:1 is your choice, I’m your ‘account-a-buddy’; each small (2-3 participants) or large (max 6) group can serve as your personal ‘think tank’ and ‘advisory board’ rolled into one.
- Each ‘Day One’ program group will be customized / individualized to the needs and desired outcomes of the participant(s). There will be meeting agendas and ground rules to ensure that everyone in each group has adequate time to share, explore, ask questions, gather feedback. Notice that there are session-length differences for each program choice…1 hour, 90 minutes, or 2 hour sessions to allow for group and individualized focus.
- Meetings will be on Zoom and will be recorded for review in the event of absence. Attendance policy is not in place; however, consistency, collaboration and continuity are essential to achieve desired outcomes.
If choosing to work in a group setting, you can either create your own group or work with a group created at random from others showing interest in the program.
Note: All plans are customized to your needs, what follows are examples of ‘typical’ 90-day coaching programs. As an ‘intensive’ program based upon your needs, the plan might vary. More details available after initial conversation following completion of the ‘interest form’ and your complimentary session. Payment will be made at the time of service via Venmo or Zelle.
