Life Happens; Now What??
Change is a fact of life. When ‘life needs’ change creating a role reversal in your family (you’re called upon to care for your parents or an aging loved one), you’ll take action to manage the change. But what are you doing to manage the stress from the situation? If left unchecked, stress can have long-term negative effects on your health and well-being. You’ll be of little use to your loved one, your job, your family, etc., if you’re exhausted, resentful, depressed or sick. Your takeaways from this session are tools, tips and techniques to help you manage the stress, enhance your health and well-being and bring balance into your life regardless of these new ‘life needs.’
- We’ll tackle the elephants in the room: the financial, physical and emotional impacts of the situation and talk about practical ways to take control of them before they take control of you.
- Discover 5 essential points of focus for your caregiver’s ‘to do’ list to keep you healthy and we’ll look at ways to complete that ‘to do’ list on a daily basis.
